Settle has many shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants, also food shops

Go to Visit Settle Website for information about shops, pubs, events and things to do. Set in the lovely Yorkshire Dales countryside, with splendid limestone scenery minutes away. For walkers there is the 3 Peaks way, and also many quiet byways to explore. There are walks straight out of the house, or a short drive away. The Yorkshire Dales is a national park and is of interest to archaeologists, botanists, ornithologists, geographers and geologists

In the house there is a folder of leaflets from local places to eat and takeaways, local bus and train timetables and also information on some places of interest.

Playground Less than 100 yards from the cottage is a pleasant childrens playground


Main Bedroom Settle station is the start of the Settle - Carlisle railway with 7 trains a day to Carlisle. Timetables at Northern Rail Route 07.
There is also a limited sunday only service between Blackpool and Hellifield, extended to Carlisle via Settle in the summer. Timetable route 12
**Note, the Settle Carlisle line is part of the national rail network operated by modern trains, although there are occasional steam specials.
Bus There are also buses that run from Skipton to Lancaster via Settle, and 3 buses a day (not sundays) from Tosside to Horton in Ribblesdale via Settle.
